Victoria Area Parent 2 Parent Resource Network
This Month's Topic: Parent Discussion - Summer activities and the Yellow booklet
Welcome to our group in Victoria B.C.! Please come and join us at our monthly parent meetings which will range from themed parent discussions, guest speakers and videoconferencing with guest speakers in Vancouver. We aim to learn from each other and to find out more about caring for our special children -let's navigate the world of rare disease together. New parents always welcome.
This month's topic: Summer activities and the Yellow booklet (Parent lead discussion topic)
Join us for a discussion of what are some ideas of activities to keep our amazing kiddos occupied over the summer holidays. We will have online access to the Yellowbook (http://rivonline.org/services/yellow-booklet/2017-yellow-booklet-is-now-available) and can discuss ideas, options and experiences that families have had. We’ll bring our experiences and insights and ask that you bring yours.
The first half of the evening will be dedicated to the above topic and the second half of the meeting will be open for free discussions.
As it is really helpful for us to have an idea of who is able to attend, we would really appreciate people RSVPing to Jocelyn(email:Jocelyn.CarterSim@viha.ca) by Tuesday morning. We understand that life happens and we won't hold you to coming but we like to have a sense for food and drinks as to who will likely be attending. Thank you in advance. :) This has been helpful in the past so really appreciate all those who respond.
Light refreshments will be provided at the meeting.
Our next meeting is scheduled for June 13, 2017.
New parents are always welcome. Drop-ins are welcome.
